Young Talents Unleash Creativity: Student Drawing Exhibition 2026Greenwood International School, May 8, 2026 — The school auditorium transformed into a colorful gallery of imagination as students from Grades 5 to 12 showcased their artistic brilliance at the Annual Student Drawing Exhibition.Titled “Lines of Imagination”, this year’s exhibition featured over 180 original artworks created by enthusiastic young artists. From realistic pencil portraits and intricate ink illustrations to vibrant watercolor landscapes and imaginative digital-concept sketches, the display reflected the rich diversity of talent and perspectives within the student community.Highlights of the ExhibitionThe event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Meera Sharma, who praised the participants for their dedication and creativity. “Art is not just a subject; it is a language through which our students express emotions, ideas, and dreams. Today, we celebrate their courage to put those dreams on paper,” she said.Notable entries included:
  • A powerful series on environmental conservation by Class 10 student Arjun Rao, featuring a large-scale charcoal drawing titled “Last Breath”.
  • Stunning hyper-realistic animal portraits by Riya Menon (Grade 8).
  • A fantasy-themed collection by a group of Class 7 students depicting “Mythical Realms.”
  • Innovative mixed-media pieces that combined traditional drawing with sustainable materials like recycled paper and natural dyes.
Visitors, including parents, teachers, and students from neighboring schools, moved through the exhibition halls with admiration. Many were seen taking notes and clicking photographs of their favorite pieces. Interactive corners allowed younger visitors to try simple drawing techniques under the guidance of senior art club members.Recognition and RewardsA panel of three esteemed judges — renowned artist Mr. Vikram Sen, art educator Ms. Priya Lakshmi, and alumnus illustrator Ms. Sneha Patel — evaluated the entries.
